Training for our life
I went to Sri Lanka last May, joined a family camp of Foursquare denomination, and shared the gospel there. Sri Lanka is a special country for me. Sometimes I am asked which bible school I went, but I always answer that I’ve never been to one. I am also asked, where I was trained and my answer is “in Sri Lanka”. They ask me more questions such as from whom, how long, how you were trained, and so on.
I was trained by God for 8 days in Sri Lanka where I joined a mission trip in the Third World country for the first time. It is strange, but I learned the basics of ministry for 8 days. I met a pastor who is a teenager, a lady who was saved from witchcraft, and poor people who gave offerings with joy. We had an evangelical meeting in a village and a service at a church joyfully. Also, we saw God’s signs, wonders, and miracles. Acts in the New Testament has 28 chapters but I experienced churches in chapter 29.
My spiritual leader is also a Sri Lankan but I’ve never spent a long time with him and been taught by him. I saw that God Himself appeared through this Godly man and his words.
Today, we live and work in a field called this world. The Holy Spirit guides us through various ways until this trip, our life, ends. We are changed from yesterday to today and from today to tomorrow.
