How much longer I have to wait
This photo is a kitchen in India. They go to a well to get water, make a fire, and cook rice and curry. Hungry children are wondering, how much longer they have to wait.
What I was surprised in India was the hours that I have to wait. Usually, we wait Indian people at our hotel but they don’t show up on time. There was an Indian pastor who was late for 8 hours.
I taught pastors of Church on the Rock in India to be on time. At first, they were late for 3 or 4 hours, so I told them to be on time with Japanese people. They seemed regretful, but I noticed that they didn’t have a watch, so I gave them. (Of course, they didn’t have a cell phone at this time.) It was the first time for them to wear it, so they keep on checking their watch.
Japanese people are punctual and always aware of time. The waiting time for transportation, medical examination, and remaining time for a presentation and so on. We stress out over what we can’t figure out.
Some people really want to know about the return of Jesus but the Lord said, “it is not for you to know the times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.” The promise of the Lord never fails. God asks the churches to have faith and keep on guard all the time.
