I deeply apologize for the inconvenience.
We often hear these words on TV. “I deeply apologize for the inconvenience, for all the fuss, and for the anxiety.” It is clear that these words are only for defensiveness and not from their heart. Politicians often use these words like these below.
I caused trouble but I don’t admit my sin.
I stroke public fear but it’s not so bad.
I caused much worry but I don’t have the will to take a responsibility.
The worse thing is “I apologize only for the trouble I've caused.” It means I caused trouble to some people but I didn’t do anything wrong. I’ve never heard that politicians say, “My fellow citizens, I was wrong. I will receive punishment as expiration. I also take a responsibility. Please forgive me.”
They don’t know the only God so it can’t be helped but how about Christians? First, we go in front of God, proclaim everything honestly, ask Him for forgiveness and to change us, and take responsibility if we need to expirate for other people or society. Father in Heaven is the one who forgives us seventy times of seven which means without any limit. Repentance is a proof of growing and changing our life as true Christians so the Lord said, “repent earnestly.”
