Crane mark again

The emblem of JAL changed to the original one, red crane mark, which was used from 1959 to 2008. The airplane with the new emblem will fly from Haneda airport to Tancho Kushiro airport on 28th of Feb. JAL aims to get out of Chapter 11 in Mar. and it is planned to change the emblem at the same time. The current emblem on this photo will be doomed for a short-time, so to speak, “that brightening life is one more time.”

The emblem is very important for a company. In European countries and America, companies spend much money to design the emblem because they believe the image is very important. It shows Corporation Identity.

It is difficult for Japanese people to understand identity. It means “unity”, “ID”, “independence”, and “belongingness” but it doesn’t make sense. This is no wonder since the original meaning is “thing which doesn’t change forever”. “Impermanence” which finishes fleetingly is easy to understand by Japanese people.

Surely things that were created by God will not last forever. However, God the Creator is eternal and new born Christians also have eternal life. When we stand face to face in front of God, we are able to know our importance of existence.

Psalm 8:3~5
