Paul was the one who was used by God powerfully. The Bible says the Holy Spirit healed people and did miracles through him. However, he proclaimed that he himself has “one thorn” in his body. He didn’t tell whether it’s sickness or an injury but it is sure that he had pain. He asked the Lord for healing 3 times but the thorn was not removed.
The one who doesn’t believe healing thinks that if God heals even today, why I am not or the one whom I prayed is not healed.
Paul “desired to the Lord.” That means, he believed human beings don’t have an authority to heal others unless it is given by God.
Faith gives stable life no matter what happens so Paul proclaimed the healing in the name of Jesus although he had pain and God’s power was shown in his mission.
