Yubari melon and a treasure
There was an ornament of melon at a hotel in Tokyo. I’m not sure how expensive it is but it was interesting so I took a photo of it.
“Yubari melon” is popular for tourists who come to Hokkaido. The melon was sold for 2 million 500 thousand yen at 2008’s first auction. Everyone has a different value but this is also a stunning truth. The price of Yubari melon has been more than 1 million yen for several years so there are people who think it is worth to pay. If you are rich, how much can you pay for a melon?
The Bible tells us, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.” Christians who were surprised at the price of the melon should ask themselves like this below.
“Which do I spend the most of my thoughts, is it work, time, or money?”
Luke 12:34
