岩の上に建てた家

２０１０年１０月１３日の夕方、イラクのバクダットでアルカイダ系テロ組織が、教会を襲撃し、人質を取り立てこもりました。
最終的には、アメリカ軍とイラク軍が合同での救出を決行し、約６０名の尊い命が失われました。

この後、アルカイダから、キリスト教会はどこででも標的であるとの声明が出されました。
テロ組織の指導者であるウサマ・ビンラディンは、潜伏先で護衛をつけて、指示を出すだけです。
また、反米主義者は、今後も米国は非難するが、このようなテロ行為を黙認し続けるのです。
全く持って不条理としか言えない事実がここにあります。

しかし、この襲撃を受けた教会では１１月７日に６０名以上の人々が集いました。
卑劣なテロ行為に対して、教会は何の抵抗もできない、一方的に被害を受けるだけに見えるかもしれません。
歴史上繰り返されてきた弾圧は、その目的を達成することが不可能なのです。
どんなに迫害されても、どんなに多くの血が流されても教会は、さらに立ち上がります。

それは、教会だけが、救いの岩の上に建てられた神の家だからなのです。

この日を楽しみ喜ぶ

この写真は、金沢の兼六園です。

ノンクリスチャンの方から、「生きてきた中で、いつが（どの年齢の時が）最高の時でした？」と聞かれました。

即座に、「それは、今」と答えると、とても驚いた様子でした。

救い主と出会った瞬間から、この日は、「主が与えて下さる日」になりました。

昨日よりも今日、今日よりも明日と、恵みが積み重ねられていくことを考えると、この日が最高に思えてなりません。

我が家のクリスマス

今年、我が家のツリーは、父親が一人で飾り付けをしてくれました。

イエス様を信じると、こんなに家庭を大切にする人になれるという実例です。
大東家の歴代誌に残したくて、記念の写真をとりました。

Beautiful scene

As I introduced before, there is a swimming pool on the top floor of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The weather is hot and humid all year long but the 57th floor is a little bit cool. We enjoyed various scenes from this swimming pool. The landscape of upper floor, sunrise, sunset, and night view. Everything is wonderful but no other scenes are better than this photo. Elderly couple who had ticked down their life talked each other in the swimming pool. I am wondering, how many memories did they build together? Here is the meaning that God, the Creator, created us men and women.

Amazed in-flight meal

Doesn’t this in-flight meal look delicious? A hamburger steak is so juicy that when we cut it, broth comes out. This in-flight meal is the same even in economy class.

In-flight meal is a dining table 10,000 meter above the ground. It is delight for tourists but it is the result of trial and error for chefs. They have limited space and they can’t use fire. Also, wind noise or air pressure might make us alter the sense of taste. Another problem is the time passed after they had cooked it. If people who went for a mission trip in the Bible time can see this in-flight meal, what do they think about it?

Our inexhaustible exploration toward food is amazing and also I admired chef’s intelligence and ability. God who is a creator gave us the same intelligence and ambition.

A situation of marriage in India

Whenever I stay in India, I go through a series of culture shock.

I’m surprised there are so many matrimonial advertisements on the newspaper. In this country, marriage with love is rare and parent’s decision or arrangement marriage is a mainstream. (Parent’s decision is unavoidable for their children’s marriage in either way.) Age, academic background, annual income, color of skin, parent’s occupation, meal (a vegetarian or not), and virtues are written on the advertisement. Also, it has some categories on the advertisement and it is divided according to “Caste”, “Disabled or not”, “Divorced or not”, and “Widow”. There are some good points, such as to value parent’s opinion or some kind of ethics view. (Young people don’t get involved in their relationship.)

We can learn from them. However, there are some problems in this country, such as marriage with aversion, not to be able to get married with a person in a different caste, and selling a house or a farm land for their daughter’s dowry. As a result, there are many orphans, divorcements (women who had broken the marriage), men who don’t work or take a responsibility depending on dowry.

It is common in all countries that we don’t understand each other if we don’t get married so it is important when we decide our marriage, we prepare ourselves and ask God’s will. The Creator who knows everything has the best plan for each one of us and a true marriage gives us blessing, not only two people who get married but also their family and relatives.

Heresy and Cult Seminar in Kanazawa

There was a Heresy and Cult Seminar for 19th and 20th of Nov. in Kanazawa city. I express my appreciation to Kanazawa Heart Clinic Chapel which provided a venue for this seminar.

Christians are not glad with this theme and many churches think this is a non-related matter. This kind of seminar is very rare in Kanazawa but participant’s response was good and I got an enthusiastic response.

There were some people who were guided to church through bad experience from heresy or cult group. A woman who saved her younger sister from a cult group and became a Christian and a woman who became a pastor’s wife after she was saved from a cult group made their testimony at the seminar. Also, there are some people who decided to deal with this problem for this area and it was a wonderful time.

All the action starts from small step. The Lord loves Kanazawa and has mercy on people who are in heresy or cult group. Please expect Kanazawa and pray for them.

Marina Bay Sands

This model is Marina Bay Sands which is the latest hotel in Singapore. We often hear twin towers but this hotel has triple towers. These 3 buildings are connected at the top floor which is the 57th floor and this floor shape like a ship. This ship has a swimming pool and a restaurant. What an amazing place!

3 is a symbol of God. I imagined the ark of Noah in front of this model. The ark was floating on water while the water covered the world. People could see the ark was floating but actually the only God who is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit covered and protected this ark. We, Christians, are also protected by invisible God’s hands to avoid sinking in this modern world.

今年のクリスマス

今年、ＣＯＲ中の島がささやかですが、新しいことを計画しました。
これは、牧師が勧めたからではなく、自発的に始められたことです。

本当の奉仕とは、教会のプログラムや奉仕表の当番だからではなく、また、誰かに認められるためでもありません。
それらは、いつか、疲れてしまうものですし、本当の喜びもないでしょう。

しかし、神様の前に自ら進んで行う奉仕は、主からの力と喜びが与えられます。

嬉しかったので、記念の写真をとりました。
神様に感謝せずにいられない出来事でした。

詩篇　８１篇１節

物乞いの組織

インドの路上はとても賑やかです。
クラクションの音、闊歩する水牛、人々の怒鳴り声。
そして、必ずと言っていい程、物乞いに遭遇します。
慣れていない外国人は、同情心からついコインを渡します。
この物乞いですが、止む終えない事情の人と、組織の一員がいるのがやっかいです。

じつは、組織の物乞いは、国民の平均年収を超えているそうです。
この組織の実態を、警察が潜伏調査したことがありました。
地域ごとに元締めがいて、そこでお金は管理されています。

驚くべきは、物乞いの教育システムです。
見習い期間から始まり、忍耐力～目つき～転び方～スリのテクニック、果ては化学薬品の使い方までが段階ごとに教えられます。

ここまでくると、物乞いもある種のプロ意識を持っていることに気付かされます。
日本人なら、それだけの労力を他に向けたらと考えるでしょう。
まさしく、この世の子らは、自分のためには光の子よりも抜け目がないと書かれている通りです。

クリスチャンは、誰もが恵みにより信仰によって救われています。
しかし、神のためには、この世の子よりも抜け目がないと言われるほどに生きることも必要なのかもしれません。

ルカの福音書　１６章８節

突き飛ばされた女の子

数年前のことですが、近所の通りで遭遇した出来事です。
小学校低学年の男の子と女の子が二人で歩いていました。
ところが、二人の距離は次第に離れて行き、男の子が女の子を突き飛ばしたのです。

男の子が、転んだその子に向かっていったので、腕をつかみ、「乱暴するのは良いこと？悪いこと？女の子にはやさしくするんだよ」と話しました。
そして、突き飛ばしたのか理由を聞くと、「だって僕と一緒に帰ってくれないんだもん」と泣きました。

本当は、一緒に帰りたいくらい大好きなはずなのに、これでは好かれるはずはありません。
しかし、これは子供だから、幼稚であることが原因なのでしょうか？
大人は、かわいさあまって憎さ○○倍と表現します。
教会の人間関係でも、このようなことはないでしょうか？

聖書は、ほしがっても自分のものにならなければ、戦い争うと書かれています。
（そして、エスカレートすると殺人にまで発展するのです）
それは、人の欲望が原因であり、その根源は罪からだと教えてくれます。

この男の子が本当に一緒に帰りたければ、やさしく親切にしてあげる、素直に自分の思いを伝えることが最善なのは、明白です。

父なる神様は、私たちが肉（アダムから引き継いだ性質）によって生きるのではなく、何が最善かを求め、聖霊によって行動する者に造り変えてくださるのです。

ヤコブの手紙４章１～２節

ボーイズ・ビー・アンビシャス２

歴史に残る、クラーク博士の名言は、幾つかの場面で語られたようです。
この「青年よ、大志を抱け。」の後に続く言葉を紹介します。

青年よ、大志を抱け。
それは、金銭のためではなく、自己満足のためでもなく、
この世の名声という、つかの間のもののためでもない。
人が人としてあるべき、すべてを成し遂げるために、大志を抱きたまえ。

神様の祝福によって、繁栄や満足、人々からの高い評価を得ることもあるでしょう。
しかし、それらのものはキリスト者にとって、目的あるいは指針とはなりえません。
あくまでも、偉大な神様の前で、大きな志を持って歩んだ結果なのです。

マタイの福音書　６章２０～２１節

この時代とイスラエル

聖書は、神様の計画の中で、イスラエルが重要な意味を持っていることを教えてくれます。
キリスト者は、今の時代を理解するため、この国の情勢を正しく把握する必要があるでしょう。
しかし、日本では情報が少ないだけでなく、イスラエルよりとパレスチナより、親イスラエル派と嫌イスラエル派の発信が交錯してとても難解な状況です。

主要各国の発言から紐解くと、イスラエルが孤立していることは事実でしょう。
最近、イスラエルがエルサレムの東に、６００戸以上の新たな建設を発表しました。
イスラエル擁護の立場を取って来たアメリカ合衆国のオバマ大統領からも、「和平交渉にとって有益ではない」との声明が出されました。
また、ブリックスの一角であるブラジル大統領まで、パレスチナ支持を明らかにしました。
（これも神様の大きな摂理の内にあることではありますが）

この国が、いつも神様の前に正しい判断をしているわけではありません。
本当に祝福することとは、相手の要求を何でも飲むことではありません。
また、彼らの聖書解釈や信じていることと、全てが一致するわけではありません。

しかし、真のキリスト者は、この国がどんな状況に陥っても（もちろん、キリストを拒否していても）、エルサレムの平和のために祈るという使命を神様から頂いているのです。

詩篇 　１２２編６節～７節

麗しい光景

過去の記事でも紹介しましたが、シンガポールのマリーナ・ベイ・サンズは最上階がプールになっています。
一年中高温多湿の国ですが、さすがに５７階は涼しげでした。

このプールからは、様々な光景が楽しめます。
高層階の展望、日が昇り、日が沈み、夜景が辺りを覆う時と、全てが素晴らしいものでした。

しかし、今回掲載した写真に勝るものはありません。
長らく、人生の年輪を刻んできた二人が、プールで語りあう様子です。
これまで、どれ程の思い出を積み重ねてきたのでしょう。

創造主である神様が、人を男性と女性に造られた意味がここにあるのです。

箴言　５章１８節

驚きの機内食

この機内食、おいしそうに見えませんか？
最近のハンバーグは、ナイフを入れた瞬間に肉汁がジュワ～っと、流れ出てきます。
そして、この機内食（もちろん、エコノミークラス）でも、その肉汁が流れ出てくるのです。

機内食、それは地上１００００メートルでの食卓です。
旅行者にとっては、楽しみでもありますが、作る側にとっては試行錯誤の結晶と言えます。
限られた空間である上に、火力がつかえず、風切音（騒音）や気圧など人間の味覚を狂わせてしまう状況が揃っています。
もうひとつの難題は、調理してから時間が経過していることです。

聖書の時代に、宣教の旅に出た人々が、もしこの食事を見ることができたら、どんな感想を持つでしょうか？

食に対するあくなき探究心も驚きですが、これを作る知性と能力は、本当にすごいと思います。

創造主である神様は、このような知性と向上心を、人類に与えて下さったのです。
